Thanks Brad.  I was at the game and it was a special night.  The hospitality of the city and the Fiesta staff was outstanding.  They are very proud of their Bowl game.

Regarding the UM payout..   1.5 Million reasons this was done considering how low the current AAC tv contract is compared to what ALL AAC schools thought it would be.

From a financial budget point I would do this deal every day, no matter what was said years ago.

I am still watching on espn3 also, since we play both teams the next 2 weeks.  Both schools have play makers that could cause us problems so I hope we are prepared.

Larry Brown was hired last year at SMU.  When they played us here last year he was given a very nice ovation by our crowd.  He makes a point after the game to shake every opposing players hand and say a word or two to each.

 Very stand up Coach and I can see why he is bringing in top recruits.

Let me enlighten. The majority of that mile long thread are merged threads started by ankle nipping Kanigit fans. This board is devoted to state of Florida college athletics. This thread is an assessment of the current state of the team from Oveido ... much like we have threads about FIU and FAU. We are an Equal Opportunity forum.

I wanted to start a new tread just for Trip, but he will move this soon enough.  The real truth about the "mile long threads" is they have been started by USF posters and talked about by USF posters.  I wasted 15 minutes of time by going back to August 11 (figured that was a fair representation) and added up the number of threads written about by USF and the number written about by UCF posters.  200 hundred threads were written during this time:  184 by USF posters and a whopping 16 by UCF posters.  Of the 16 by UCF 10 are by one UCF poster.

My favorite post was on 8/24 by Costa who wanted to know why  all the attention towards UCF and trip was classic with his standard move the UCF trash, yet not one UCF poster had responded in over 38 previous post.  The next 40 post were also all by USF posters.

Just maybe, Trip needs to rename this USF smack talk within themselves, since it is obvious, the true vast  majority of posters are by USF and NOT UCF like he wantes everyone to believe.

I meant to add though, the the 184 - 16 kinda reminded me of the total beatdown USF gave us over the 4 times we played.  (not a happy thought)

Chad, please don't embarass the rest of us UCF supporters with comments like that.  While we have a very decent team this year, we still lost to the 2 AQ teams we played and matter of speaking AQ teams are better the vast majority of the time than non AQ teams.

Am I the only one that noticed how since 2005, when Woolard announced the athletics district plan, that USF has not built a single thing as of yet (I know the track stadium has been built, but that was built by Hillsborough county)? What is the reason for not getting started on these projects? Im going to assume lack of money, but still.  

Interesting to note that since 2005, UCF has:

1) Built an on-campus 45,000 seat football stadium.

2) Built a 10,000 seat state-of-the-art Basketball Arena

3) Built Men's and Women's Basketball Practice Facilities

4) Built New Softball Stadium

5) Built new boat house/HQ for the Crew Team

6) Built new practice facility and HQ for the golf team

7) New Soccer/Track Stadium Complex should be completed later this fall/winter.

The $$$$ are out there to get things done (i.e. see Louisville, Cinci and other programs that have built new facilities for various sports over the past 4-5 years).

Vision is fine...but its dead without leadership, which is normally what it takes to get things done.

Remember...the economy was strong back in 2005-2007...and if Woolard couldn't get things built when times were GOOD...how in the world will he get anything built when times are bad?

KL..Go back on vacation.  Why do you bring up facilities against a program that we are 0 - 4 against in football?  You don't have to answer that question.  No one is interested in your spin.

I dunno beach that to me is biased.  I think 83 and KL are a push in the obsessive category.  Whereas 83 might be a bit more obsessive with UCF then KL with USF (not by much), KL also has  second obssessin withUCF, which easily rivals 83's.  I think KL would physically harm even Knight fans if they spoke about the UCF athletic department in anything other tone then reverence. 

Everytime I read guys on the board, even question anything whatsoever about UCF, a recruit, a coach, attendance...he goes nuts and puts a pure heavenly spin on it.  It's really fun to watch...even UCF fans will say on a post that goes negative "Cue KL."  So I think generally 83 and KL are equally obsessed with all things USF and UCF.
