the great thing is that a lot of the best bars are all near each other in downtown SJ which is only really a 7 minute uber ride. I would check out the following:
San Pedro Square. This whole street is really cool and filled with the best bars in the city in my opinion. Besides the San Pedro Market which is awesome itself Ones to check out include:
Old Wagon
Firehouse
All are right next to each other.
Since you mentioned you are near the airport if you like gambling Casino M8trix is a pretty nice casino right across the street. Also has a nice bar.
Food I highly recommend trying when here
La Victoria. The best burritos you will find and people travel for miles just to try their "orange sauce". 2 locations in downtown San Jose including one right next to San Pedro Square.
If you need a breakfast spot I highly recommend Bill's Cafe. Also near the airport.
If you want fancy upscale bars Santana Row is a nice outdoor shopping outlet with tons of bars and fancy restaurants. Nice setting at night.
Thanks for the great tips! Any good local breweries or beers recommended?

They should be fun however the Tulane one may be too crazy. Depends on the kickoff time but I plan to be smashed that weekend in Nola. I will have too many hand granades to even function for this event. I'm hyped!
Was thinking the same thing. There are so many good food and drink options there I'm hesitant to spend one on an alumni tailgate. Any other Bull functions/parties planned in Nawlins that weekend?

Had the pleasure of playing basketball with BJ a few months back. Still the best athlete in the gym and a general nice guy. Was hoping he didn't get hurt playing w us lol. Said he was heading back to ATL and hoping for a shot at some playing time.

I agree they are adults, but how about some common courtesy to wake up a teammate and make sure they don't miss a flight. I have done this numerous times for strangers I didn't even know. Its pretty telling if you ask me.

No MBB season tix for me next year.
Gave up before this season and have to say what a relief it is to not have to think about this team. Never would have believed that I would own season tickets for a female hoops team and not the men, but it is close to impossible to support this program.

The issue with this thought process is, if we were in the SEC or BIG12 our recruiting success would have likely been different. With a larger conference would come exposure and likely leading to us securing athletes that are rated a little higher.
AJUSF..you are making way too much sense lately! Also great job w the inside info the last few days even though you were doubted by some. This is what makes the Bullspen such a great place to hang out. Thank you.

Have to respect them going after what most people think is the best hire available. Big time commitment to winning whether it works our or not. Shows they are serious about trying to remain/ be a contender for bigger things.
I am impressed and pleased all things considered.

This was ridiculous. The poor usher was trying to stop people/check each ticket and people would just go around as she checked one person.
Inside I overheard an FSU fan on the phone telling everyone he knew to "just put your ticket in her face and don't stop".
Terrible job by Ray Jay on this. Not the ushers fault.

Looks like about 5-600 left on Ticketmaster. Pretty good chance of a sell out...was the last one the WVU game? Man that was awesome.

Hell of an offer list. Was predicted at one point 100% to the Gators.

Do you really expect we will still be playing on the weekend? I can't wait for this season to be over with, but maybe it's just me. Good on you for going, I for one have had quite enough. Next year should be better...can't be much worse.
-
Def will be taking advantage of this...thanks!

Looks good. Anyone remember/ figure out what the cost per seat was last year? Just wondering if they went up besides the 7th game.

Signed today I believe per twitter. I like him.

Leday had a big game in a huge win against #4 Virginia last night.
Egbunu was probably gone either way but my Gator friends are very impressed w him which sucks.
Agree Stan should have gotten another year unless a big time hire was available... Not saying Coach O can't be, but so far....

How many fans are there, estimated
Looked about the same as the men's game 2500 or so w no students and a high school band filling in for HOT.
Never thought I would enjoy women's basketball over the men's but they know how to play good team ball.

It seemed to happen right when Peters was taken but I'm not sure the order of what happened. He obviously would have been a better get at this point.

Statistically Nuñez had a nice day! Nearly a double-double. Guerrero posted a double double but Jaleel disappeared today? McMurray and Morillo missed a lot of shots, it's hard to get too mad because they are the only "shooters" we have right now so they have to take shots. Anyone that watch the game know how the looks were? Contested, last minute, space, soft D? Props to Chris Perry on going 100% on the line though.
If the kids read these threads (I have not a clue) I want to be on record giving props to Nuñez for the game he had and I hope he can turn the corner and really be a force. He has the physical tools to make it happen for sure.
Nunez has been playing very hard and seems to really care about winning. In my opinion he could be a very effective player if he was on a better team (if that makes sense).
Shot selection for McMurry and Ne were fine for the most part. Coach is very hard on Ne if anyone has noticed.
Guard play overall has killed this team with terrible entry passing (or just not getting it to the bigs when its there).
We seem to find new ways to turn the ball over (twice off the in bounds).
Also Bo has regressed or does not fit this "offense" that we are trying to run.
We just do not play good team defense as opposing guards get into the lane easily and nobody boxes out when our bigs play help d.
Props to Ruben, Angel, Ne and McMurry for seeming to really care. Rest of the team seems to be sleeping from my view (right behind the bench)

Sucks to hear about Peters injured again. He looked pretty bad all season to be honest. Wonder if he was ever 100%. Guard play has been terrible all year and we don't have enough bodies as it is.
Got to blame Coach O on that one. Good thing we ran off AC so he could play his 5th year somewhere else instead of here.

Maybe the worst hoops team we have ever had. If not definitely my least favorite team of all time.
If you know anything about or appreciate good ball this team will make you like the game less.
-
John, congrats on the new position. Happy for you man.
What is it if I may ask? Congrats on whatever it is. Much deserved.

In his defense these guys all have their roles. Rouca (sp?) talks to them about defense and COA handles the offense. Strickland is a teacher at practice. I think Oliver Antigua handles tracking the fouls, time outs, etc. Not sure though on that one.
That makes some sense but you would think an NBA all star might have some insight to what is happening on the court, especially since our guards have played so poorly.
Bottom line is this is a poorly coached team that has zero team chemistry.

It's amazing to watch good team ball. The coaches do a great job w this team. They come out of timeouts and looseballs w great shots. When they can't they give it to CW and she makes things happen.
They also hustle and rebound there butts off.

Just to add to this. We took BA up on this offer 3 years ago and have been season ticket members ever since. Awesome seats and great team to support. As a chauvinistic male basketball player I never would have dreamed I would say this but the games are much better then the men's.
