  1. Well, according to his bio at http://isis.fastmail.usf.edu/usf-athletics/Sports/football/staff/rod_smith.htm:

In three years at USF, Rod Smith, who had worked with up-tempo offenses at West Virginia and Clemson, helped install a no-huddle, spread offense that has proven ultra successful.

He's listed as Pass Game Coordinator/Quarterbacks Coach.  Is a “Pass Game Coordinator†something like an OC?

Maybe da Bulls will be going back to the spread as run during the MB years.

In any case I have a question for the experts (my apologies for not researching myself):

Has any Big East school, that has an OC without any prior college OC experience, made a bowl appearance over the past few seasons?

    Thanks for your help.

  2. As a Bulls booster this absolutely makes my day.  The whole reason for me even supporting this program is to help (in my small way) the young men and women athletes of USF achieve an education.  Winning would be nice too, but the education is paramount to me.  I feel as though it is money well spent and I’m glad to do it.  Congratulations to the university and to all those who made it happen.  And congratulations to all USF student athletes.  You are now #1 in the state and #1 amongst the football playing schools in C-USA and the new Big East conferences.  Outstanding!!!

    Go BULLS

  3. Yup, again.  This is getting tiresome.  >:(

Excerpt:  UP IN THE AIR: Freshmen LBs C.J. Hunnicutt and Brouce Mompremier and DE Josh Julmiste's futures with the Bulls are in doubt as a result of their involvement in the theft of former player Randy Jackson's belongings.

``They have violated team rules,'' Leavitt said. ``We're trying to decide right now whether they'll even be with us or not. Right now they're not.''

USF police forwarded the charges - Josh Julmiste and Mompremier grand theft felony and Hunnicutt petty theft - to the state attorney's office, which will decide whether to arrest them.

USF police reported Jackson's property (PlayStation 2, television, VCR, computer and other items valued at $3,615) was stolen from Jackson's room between Aug. 12, when he left the team, and Aug. 30.

  4. Regardless of what position he plays here, I’d much rather see him play here than at Auburn.  I know the rap on transfers but we’ll never know for sure until he gets his shot on the field.   For his and USF’s sake, I hope he lives up to the billing.  It would be awesome if he did.
