I'd propose we should agree to either of those 2 conferences on a deal like 20% revenue in year 1, then increase 5% a year, so they get a school at a discount for 16 years, while we build up.
But - me saying it here is meaningless, the SEC or B1G have to want us first.
In the meantime, everyone enjoy the "Official" brand spankin' new G5 rankings!

Why is USF having to travel to Orlando when they’re the number one seed that makes no sense also, I think it shows a serious lack of disrespect by the NCAA.
The title of the other thread "The TBP Official In Game Thread: NIT Round 1 Bulls at #4 UCF Knights" can play tricks on the eyes. It's NIT Round 1 ... Bulls at #4 UCF.
The top 4 seeds in the region are: 1)Villanova 2)Utah 3) Iowa 4) UCF

By the way, the SEC, which is an extreme longshot, would be a scenario like this:
ACC shatters. Big 10 takes FSU and Miami.
Big 12 looking at USF, and SEC takes USF to block Big 12, as they don't want to be behind both Big 12 and Big 10 in Florida.
That is the most unlikely scenario, but the chances are greater than 0%.
This thread is something unreal...If the "ACC Shatters" and the Big10 take FSU and Miami...The SEC will grab UNC, probably Clemson and or Virginia/VaTech. The Big12 sure as **** isn't gonna look at USF before of bringing in some combination of VaTech, NC St, Pitt, GTech, or Louisville. That is a virtual guarantee. You have to hope the ACC mostly stays together. If those top 6 leave...the next four will leave too, because a TV contract made up of Wake, BC, Syracuse, Duke and a bunch of G5's is worthless.

UCF took the beating they deserved from KSU.
That game was way closer than the score indicated. They couldn't stop KStates running game but they had the lead midway through the 3rd until McClain forgot you're allowed to throw the ball away when no one is open.

Remember recruiting rankings are basically biased. I never put too much stock into them. USF will win on location alone…
Two things...First, there may be some truth to the Alabama or Georgia player bump in recruiting, but no kid is getting an increase in their rating by picking ucf. Second, that's why the composite ranking of players was put in place. It averages the player rating across all the recruiting services. Nonetheless, that wasn't the point I was making to Bull94.

if we stay in G5 and G5 still gets a guaranteed playoff spot then we will make the playoffs before Vandy or Rutgers. Heck I'd bet even before UCF
I dunno man, if they continue to recruit at this level they'll be winning this conference pretty consistently..

Which will eventually become the Power 2 after the SEC decides to expand.
Well he's got all three conferences expanding to 24 and that's it. Even Memphis made it.

What I think is more likely than us in the PAC12 or ACC:
-everyone in the PAC besides Oregon State and Washington State get picked up by the Big 10 or Big 12
-everyone in the ACC besides Wake, Gtech, BC, and Duke get picked up by the Big 10, SEC, or Big 12
Those leftovers plus the top of the AAC and MWC form a “best of the rest” conference to try and separate themselves from the G5. This is where we slide in. Something like
west division: OSU, WSU, Fresno, SDSU, CSU, Boise, SMU, UNLV
east division: Gtech, BC, Wake, Duke, USF, Memphis, Tulane, Uconn
As much shuffling as this is, it's a scenario you could see unfold. Would the teams in a best of the rest conference be ok with a deal at $15 mil per year? Not sure it would get more than that.

This is interesting. If the big 12 is only looking to have 14 football members then they may have a hard time with only getting one of the AZ schools. I believe I heard something that AZ & ASU are joined at the hip and would be a political nightmare mare if they ended up in different conferences. Kind of like the Oregon & Washington situation that came up during the big ten rumors. Politics jumped in and made those rumors go away lol
14 was floated to the media as a pressure point. They want to get to 16, there's more conference stability at 16. It was said last night that Colorado was given a deadline of August 1st to give the Big 12 an answer. Say what you will but Yormark is playing this game very well. Arizona is next, with 2 of Arizona St, Utah, Oregon, or Washington following. Oregon and Washington have already been vetted for the B1G and were shown not to bring enough value to match or increase their new media deal (or they would have already left with USC and UCLA). Unless they agree to take significantly less per year in the B1G than the other members what are they gonna do? Stay in a crippled PAC that will get a streaming only media deal worth $12-15 mil per year?
ESPN will offer pro rata ($31.7million media only, $50-55 when you add in everything else) for each P5 team added to 16.
FOX has to agree to match

Yeah I guess it means PAC 12 is not interested. Looks like SMU and probably some big 12 schools will be targeted by PAC12
When...in 2031? Because it won't be before that.

I doubt that. If Oklahoma State is offered by the SEC or Big 10 they are gone.
So basically you have no idea how GOR works.

The sinking ship that is the big 12 had a terrible post season. OU & Texas heading to the SEC. Rumors swirling regarding Kansas & Ok St looking to bolt. That is another big east sinking ship…
How many times does it need to be said, the teams in the Big 12 signed a grant of rights. They aren't going anywhere for the term of that contract.

Smart move. Happy for SDST. Hopefully PAC 12 can lure some Big 12 schools. Big 12 going for that hybrid hoops football model with Gonzaga. Think they are trying to appease Kansas from leaving. We shall see if Kansas stays.
You realize they all signed a grant of rights in their new media deal. No B12 teams are leaving that conference.

The guy that reported on it was interviewed here. He mentions there's already a sponsor of the poll retained, so it's likely a reality.
