That or no real chance to compete for the start. If the kid wants to play football it doesn't do him any good to be third string his whole career at an FBS school.

I'm leaning towards no. Unless the kid thought the allure of D2 football being played at Palm Bay High School's stadium was too much to pass up for the PAC-12.

It's possible. FIT has some great degree possibilities for the "engineering inclined."

If he's sandbagging his football career for academics, good for him.
