  1. Its a no brainer for CWT to leave for UM. He is an mediocre head coach at best, and if he bails now, rather than getting fired in 2-3 years, he can save some face so he can dupe another mid-major program into hiring him down the road. Assuming of course that Harbaugh takes the gig.

All I know is that CWT was another bad hire, and we can't afford to fire him and pay him to sit home.

I pray that CWT quits and jumps ship this off-season, so we can get a proven coach into the program soon to get this mess turned around before too much damage is done. We don't want to end up like UAB, and if attendance continues to fall due to a piss poor performance its only a matter of time before we dig ourselves into a pit that we won't easily climb out of.

  2. I have a weird theory that Harlan wouldn't have minded an SMU loss as an excuse to fire the guy. Taggart actually has a case on paper to stay, but his coaching gets a very low grade so far.

I agree with this theory. In any event I don't see us getting more than 4 wins. The talent is there, but the coaching is not. Nearly getting beat by the worst team in modern college football history is not a victory, its a win.

Hopefully our next coach will have some SEC experience.

  3.

Keep him until the contract expires, and then after that dump him for a decent SEC coach.

This is what happens when we only interview one candidate.

    Got a link for that?

I searched for a link but couldn't locate it. I remember hearing that we only physically interviewed Taggart, and it was rumored that we interviewed Nutt, but never did. They called others but only brought Taggart on campus for a real interview.

Not sure why we didn't interview more candidates like Randy Shannon, Petrino, and others. Maybe they weren't interested, who knows.

  4.

Depends on kickoff time. If its another 10AM Black Friday game then I doubt we will get many fans from either school to show up.

But that means I can get back to ATL early. Vote 10AM!

Eh... remember the disaster that was the USF vs. Louisville Black Friday game a few years back.

I think there was less than 10,000 in attendance. I'm in support of whatever time slot that will get the most butts in the seats. But it all depends on your holiday plans I guess.

  5. Was going to email them, unless anyone here may know.

I'm setting up for a joint lifetime membership (associate).

Would l get one as a new account?

Based on the site it says that each new member that signs up (via this promotion) gets one Bobble.

I would assume that a joint membership would allow you to get two bobbles (one for each new member).

  6. SMU 30

    USF 13

    You heard it here first.

I hope you are correct because if you are then USF can start secretly looking for a top notch replacement and we can get back on track sooner rather than later. Hopefully we learned our lesson of hiring mediocre low level coaches from ECU and WKU. We need to be looking at quality candidates from the SEC.

How long is Taggart's contract? I want to say 4 years, but I think I read it was 3 years.

  7.

EST.  According to the GoUSFBulls.com site.

    on CBSSN.

SMU ranks last in FBS in Total Offense, Scoring Offense and Scoring Defense, and is second worst in Total Defense. If USF can't win this game, CWT will lose whatever support he has left.

Hard to argue, but there's no way USF loses this game, right?
