Discussion with WVU alum

[The Great 8]

I was meeting a guy and he noticed the USF logo on my shirt. He noted he's a WVU alum. We had the usual business talk, but eventually it digressed to football.

Him: "You guys are a small school right?"

Me: "We're something like 9th largest in the country."

Him: "Oh, we always assumed since you play in Tampa's stadium you were small"

Ugh, nobody knows anything about us outside FL.

Hopefully Judy and Doug are working on educating the ACC and getting us an invite.

Maybe we'll get one out of this conference shakedown.  We may have to sign an agreement to build one in order to get acceptance to another conference.  It could happen.

Not so sure about your statement Great 8, I live in the Northeast and everyone knows of USF. Went to a PGA tournament in Boston a few weeks go and everyone was giving me the Bulls sign. Indeeed, our logo/brand is well represented in the Northeast. Perhaps not as well in hillbilly country.

Classic Miami comeback...how long has Miami's program been around? Can you name any other notable school without an OCS?

if we win the Big East and win our BCS bowl game that will validate our program more than if we put RayJay on blocks and dropped it right smack in the middle of Fowler and 50th
