Game Day Traditions - What are yours.

We actually have a few.

1. I wear the same clothes to every game.

2. We go to Hooters after every game, home and away.

3. First home game we treat our daughter and four of her freinds to the game, from tailgate to Hooters.

4. Also first home game - Go to Total Wine, buy a large bottle of some funky beer that relates to the opponent in some way and enjoy it during our tailgate.

Usually at home for games, so...

New season shirt worn for every game

Green bottle beer consumed; imports for away games (usually Beck's), Yuengling for home games

Drink during opening kickoff; don't sit down until first USF score

Every score for USF, we take a "Bull Charge" around the house with horn handsigns and singing #8 (my four-year old loves this now)

We also wear beads, temporary tatoos, the girls paint nails in green/gold, other fun stuff

My tradition:

Home Games:

1. Slap on my custom Bulls jersey, wear it for every game, it has my name and my number on it

2. Slap on my horned motorcycle helmet -Or- my lucky camouflage Bulls cap

3. Wife normally does something like put on temp tat's or paint nails

4. Cover my truck in Bulls magnets, custom green and gold police light bar, and put up 2 large 3x5 flags, 1 USF, 1 state flag

5. Hit TB&W on the way to the lots, get 2-3 jugs of Mississippi Mud Beer & either a case or a mini keg of the best seasonal beer for sale.

6. Start tailgating at the Bulls Tailgating lot about 6-7 hours prior to kickoff

7. Stumble into stadium and try not to get tazed/kicked out

Road Trips:

1. Arrive 1-2 days before the game to take in sights and atmosphere of the enemy city before the Bulls burn it down on game day

2. Go out and party the night before

3. Wake up at the crack of dawn and tailgate all day until its nearly kickoff

4. If we win go out and party some more

Away Games:

1. Hernando Bulls Watch Party at the Spring Hill Hooters

Usually play the fight song on my drive up there and Bulls on Parade to get myself pumped up.

Have a replica helmet that I rub for good luck everygame.

Didn't you forget a few things? Drinking before leaving, drinking at the airport, drinking on the plane, going out the night before and getting shwasted... then post-post-game drinking, drinking the next morning to kill your hangover, drinking at the airport, drinking on the plane, going out the night after and getting shwasted while telling war stories from the game...

1.) Drink (Yuengling for home games and away if available).

2.) I buy a new USF t-shirt every year.  It's the standard green one with our seal.  I wear it throughout the season but NOT to the actual games (it's only lucky for away games when I'm in front of the t.v.)  It's true.

3.) Game day attire: I use to wear my traditional / throw back style jersey  (#14) but since it wasn't a legit throw back (or even an actual USF jersey) it wasn't very lucky.  I ditched it two years ago and now wear a polo with a stained white USF hat.

4.) UGLY Socks.  This is a USF secret weapon.  One year, for whatever reason, we decided to wear the ugliest USF colored socks we could find.  Mine ended up being soccer socks which made it all the better.  I've worn them a number of times and never, ever, lost a game when they were on.  (Can't wear them all the time though, usually only one or two games a year). Somewhere along the lines, I lost one sock but I still have the other.  And yes, it was in my pocket this weekend.  You can thank me with beer. lol

5.) Homecoming tailgate, cook the ever livin' mess out of some food.  Generally,y we go low rent for most games (burgers and brats) but for homecoming it's fresh oysters, ribs, flank steak sandwiches.  Mmmmm baby.

I need a good post game tradition though...  Maybe I'll start going to LeeRoy's?
