Seriously?

They think because we were super conservative that they somehow held us easily. Yes, because, if we were playing from behind we'd have kicked a FG on the 1 yard line before our end zone.

Mind boggling.

They'd have been lucky to be in a "game management" situation. The price of being behind is that you take more risk. Which leads to turnovers sometimes. In today's case...5 of them. But, that had nothing to do with them playing from behind and it compounding because they kept digging the hole deeper by taking more and more risks.

I think those were two fairly even teams.  ND fans are very delusional - even using the standard bias associated to all college fans.  Just look at the ones bothering to stop by this forum and "congratulate" us.  Hard to blame them - if you watched half your games on NBC with that group of announcers you'd probably think the same thing.

Shouldn't matter much to our team though.  A win is a win.  Certainly Notre Dame has a lot to work on - and so do we.  We have to learn to capitalize on red zone opportunities and we need to ALWAYS play defense like we are in the red zone.

Well, to settle it they need to schedule a future series with 5 home games to 4 @ND and then we will know. If they are nice, we'll take a new 5-5 series and start over.  ;)

The only outlier was floyd, if he was benched like he should have been this game would have been real bad for ND.  Floyd on the field was money for ND, and it paid dividends to the other receivers.
