I didn't see this posted anywhere. Times and Tribune mentioned it. So we will open the 2012 season with UT-Chattanooga. The home opener in 2012 is on Sept 1st and we still have weeks 2 and 3 open with open dates. Right now we have at Ball State 9/22, FSU 9/29 and at UM on 11/24. I imagine one of those weeks will just be a bye....which kinda stinks since it is so early. Since the UM game was moved this year.....I wonder out loud if the UM game would possibly be moved to September.....otherwise we will be playing a conference game real early in 2012.

Also, GA mentions a tweak to our series with Indiana, apparently they come to Tampa first in 2015 and we go to Indiana in 2016. All previous mentions of that series had it the other way around.

It will be a conference game. That's 4 OOC games, leaving 8 BE games in 2012 with the addition of the frogs.

Don't we get Michigan state here in 2015 too? What a year that will be.

We play at MSU in 2013 but don't get them back in Tampa till 2017.

We do get NC State in Tampa in 2014.

I think a lot of our future scheduling (for 2014 and beyond) is still up in the air based on whether we have to play a 9 game BE schedule or not. Earlier in the year WVU AD Luck made it sound like the plan for a BE 9 game conference schedule was definitely going to happen. Now I don't know if they are so sure. I guess that will all be addressed sometime in 2012.

Gonna need that 10th team to have a 9 game conference schedule, so they're putting alot of confidence in a Villanova join, or someone else coming aboard.

Glad we have 2012 completed ... expecting the Frogs to be in Tamplona.

It will be an exciting offseason with another possible addition to the conference.

Villanova is probably still the only option because the league would have already moved to someone else by now based on the backlash from WVU, Pitt and Rutgers.

It will all depend on what the league does with TCU. If they fill the current gaps in the schedule, then we'd go there in 2012.

You have to assume TCU will just fill in the schedules as they currently are, right?  Otherwise teams would have back to back road or home  games against a conference team in consecutive years, which really wouldn't matter in the long run, but it would be awkward and I could see teams complaining.

The only teams that I could see complaining would be Rutgers who would have TCU, WVU, Pitt, and USF all home or away in the same year.  That would make for a daunting four road games.  Uconn would have TCU, WVU, and Pitt all home or away.

TCU would actually get to split Pitt and WVU, so I really don't see them complaining.

At best I could see shaking up the schedule a 2 for and 7 against vote.

Am hoping the Big 12 (of 10 teams) disband with Texas going independent and we get Texas A&M and Texas Tech  ;D
