USF - Students/Alumni vs. Members?

Just checked and saw where there were something like 1188 members on this website. Seems like a VERY SMALL percentage of people vs. the number of students & alumni.

What can we do to raise that number? Thoughts?

I'd like to see this site become HUGE, and South Florida become the #1 school in ALL aspects in Florida.

Basically word of mouth probably jfc.  We are also trying to get the BullBackers to grow.  It just takes time.  this site has really made strides over the years.  How did you hear about it?

one thing i can tell you is that there is no word of this site on campus.

maybe someone from this site should contact the school newspaper to try and get a story done.

How did you hear about it?

Wow. To be honest with you, I don't even remember. I've been coming here for awhile now. I'm an '87 USF grad, and now live in Columbus, Ohio. I must have just done a search, and found it that way, but like I said, not totally sure.

I'd love to help out some way, but I don't really keep in touch with anyone from USF any longer. I did for awhile, but people just seem to go there separate ways.

I'm not sure what I could do to help out in Ohio - especially, since I live about 2 miles from Ohio State, and am presently trying to become one of their employees.

I can't believe this site has been up for as long as it has, and not be mentioned in the school paper.

First thanks for your interest in helping this board grow.  Any word we can get out to other Bulls will help in that regard.

By the way, over the last five years I have advertised online at the Oracle and in print three times.  I also advertised in the USF Magazine that goes to alumni.

I would love to build a stronger participation on campus.  We have some student posters here that have been on board for a few years and they are a pleasure.  Likewise, we have a couple posters from the admin and faculty that have provided keen insights.  

You are correct however, the membership of this board could easily be 5 times what it is today.  

I am open to any ideas.  And again, thank you for your participation and your support in growing our Bulls online community.

How about a nice grassroots awareness campaign?  

We can design some slick one-sheet ads for The Bullspen, go to Kinko's and run about 500 of 'em off, and have a few of our student members plaster them in strategic locations all over campus, particularly the common areas of the dorms and the athletic areas.  

Also, Brad, maybe hand out some flyers at the games?  

Also, if anybody knows a contact at the Oracle and can gauge the interest of them for an article on the site, I'd gladly write it.
