He was the coach at UNC Wilmington in which they made the NCAAs I believe before he took over the Wright St job. He is not the big name that you may want, but he seems to be an up and coming coach that shouldnt cost as much as a big name coach.

Not a big name at all, but he has done nothing but win. Another candidate would be Wintrop's coach. I just dont see any big name coaches out there right now that would be worth bringing in. Maybe a Matt Dougherty from SMU since he was BIG EAST ties. I am worried about Jarvis because of that scandal at St Johns that has set that program back. Mike Jarvis wins though as he did well at George Washington and he had St Johns to the sweet 16 not too long ago I believe.

It's just like Christmas...I'll sit here and hope we have a Jim Calhoun under the tree when I know it is likely a Brad Brownell or similar. We talk about marketing. You can kill two birds with one stone by bringing in a guy that the Tampa Bay community can identify with. My opinion at least.I'd like to see the seats filled before we win 26 games. Let's not hinge the fan support that we desperately need on winning alone - that means the lack of community support may well extend another two or three years. I hope we can make a move that makes a statement that we are for real and get your butts to the Dome for the new BasketBulls. Be a part of a committed rebuilding with a commited and proven coach.I love Christmas...

Get fan base excited to sell tix before we even play a game.Is that person out there?Reggie Theus?

Still, it's a tough sell if the person nominating a coach doesn't know his name ...

A name would be nice, but sometimes you end up paying for the name more than what they can do.

I thought that he was going to become a good coach. He had Seton Hall in the tourny while he was there before he left for Michigan.

He had a real good year at ND before UNC screwed him. It should at least put some publicity in our struggling basketball program to start. More so than the guy from Wright St. or Winthrop.
