Has this already been discussed on the board? Does anyone have any further info on this? It would be an interesting development.

Personally I would be shocked if Rod left for Bama. He is a WV native. His family still lives there, his wife's family still lives there. He said just 3 weeks ago when he was mentioned for the UNC job that he wasn't going anywhere. Not to mention the fact that WVU returns just about everyone next year. The only job I could ever foresee him leaving WVU for would be the Pittsburgh Steelers or Florida State.

Same can be said for USF. That is one storied program and assets aren't an issue. But I sure as hell hope that CJL feels differently. This is his baby and hopefully one day he can be remembered as someone like Bryant, Bowden, Paterno, etc.

I'm not saying he will never look at another program, hell it's business. He will most likely use any offer to his advantage and have USF make a counter offer. Leavitt is our Bowden!!

There has been some talk for a couple years now that Rod might like to go to FSU when Bobby retires. Also pure speculation. But due to Rod's relationship with the Bowdens I think it might be a possibility. Better possibility than him going to Bama anyway.

Rod says he has not talked to anyone at Alabama and no one has talked to him. He also takes a jab at Internet message boards rumors but says that's how it is in the tech age. Anyway, Rod is not going to Bama... Except maybe to recruit Pat White's little brother, Coley.

Is Robert Marve still solid on going to Tuscaloosa? On a side note Ocala QB John Brantley is rumored to be wavering on Texas. Anyone have some news?
