Grothe was 23-for-33 for 341 yards, 3 TD 1 INT. And he ran for another 70. Yes, UCF was definitely better off with him playing.

Moffett was 19 of 43 for 217 yards.  So, I'm fairly certain that we're a bit better off... ;)

Last year USF dominated on both sides of the ball in the running game.  This year UCF had the edge.  We are fortunate to have Grothe behind center.

Final stats were close. We ran well in the 4th quarter. I think UCF outgained us by about 40 yards on the ground. They were probably about 100 yards ahead at halftime, so the D stepped up and we finally broke through when we needed to.

USF came up one play better today.

I would challenge anyone who has been to these games to say that it shouldn't be played.

It shouldn't be played, if for no other reason than UCF is begging for it so much.
