STATEMENT OF EXECUTIVE POLICY

USF vs. UCF Game Tickets

Student Government officially announces that the tickets to the USF vs. UCF game on Saturday, September 16th, have been sold out until further notice. Tickets to this weekend’s football game went on sale Monday, September 11th, at 1pm and sold out by approximately 2pm.

Student Government purchased a total of five-hundred tickets from UCF and subsidized them for students to purchase at a price of five-dollars each.  By subsidizing the cost, Student Government is working towards stimulating student interest in USF Athletics as well as assisting large organization groups that wish to attend.  

Currently, the Executive Branch is working diligently towards approving a funding transfer in order to obtain additional tickets to give more students the option of attending the USF vs. UCF game.  Student Government did not anticipate the large amount of interest and apologizes for the inconvenience this situation has caused for students.  

Student Government believes that the students of the University of South Florida should have every opportunity to be actively engaged in athletic events at a reasonable price and is responding to student demand accordingly.  

Student Government Executive is proposing a transfer of funds for the approval of 750 additional game tickets to the Student Government Senate Interim Funding and Transfers Committee at an emergency meeting to be held this evening.  Student Government strongly supports the initiative of subsidizing game ticket costs and will inform students on the current situation immediately following tonight’s meeting.

Thats amazing!  I'm **** proud of the students who want to attend... I hope we get those extra 750... still no news  :-[

A lot of people I know want to go. Even though the tickets sold out, it was graet seeing so many people trying to get tickets! I hope they get more (And let people know where they are and when).

Senate Committee approved of extra 750 tickets!

750 more tickets are supposed to be overnighted from Orlando tonight!

No telling on the exact time of sale... we are "guessing" around 1pm or 2pm.  We obviously can not get an exact time with mail.  Some limits and restrictions may apply.  Students must be Tampa Campus current students and must list a valid U-number and name.  

Check "The Oracle" tomorrow (Tuesday) for an ad that is supposed to run.
