I've heard the Toronto Bowl is being reserved for the more Northern Big East teams. If we go to a bowl game at that level it will probably be the Birmingham Bowl.

It's always safe to get one, because you never know. If you wanna wait you can drive to Miami and get one expedited in a matter of hours, just costs an extra 45 bucks.

I gotta ask...just throwing it out there...given that we could only muster around 5K for a game in Charlotte, which I would hasten to point out is within driving distance, how many fans (from our fan base area...the Tampa area) do you think would travel to the Great White North for a non-BCS 'also ran' bowl? It might be a treat for those living north of the Mason Dixon, but I don't think the local boys would be heading up that way. Just asking... :o

Not many I would think.  Maybe 1000 or so diehards.  By the way, I don't think you need a passport for Toronto do you?

As of January 8, 2007 you must have a passport to visit Canada/Mexico/Bahamas and to return to the US.  I'd get one because if you get delayed after the game, you might be returning on the 8th.

NOTE:

You will NOT need a passport if you DRIVE into Canada.  So fly to Buffalo and drive (2 hours or so) to Toronto.

he Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act of 2004 requires that by January 1, 2008, travelers to and from the Caribbean, Bermuda, Panama, Mexico and Canada have a passport or other secure, accepted document to enter or re-enter the United States.  In order to facilitate the implementation of this requirement, the Administration is proposing to complete it in phases following a proposed timeline, which will be published in the Federal Register in the near future.

In the proposed implementation plan, which is subject to a period of initial public comment, the Initiative will be rolled out in phases, providing as much advance notice as possible to the affected public to enable them to meet the terms of the new guidelines. The proposed timeline will be as follows:

   * January 8, 2007 - Requirement applied to all air and sea travel to or from Canada, Mexico, Central and South America, the Caribbean, and Bermuda.

   * December 31, 2007 - Requirement extended to all land border crossings as well as air and sea travel.

This is a change from prior travel requirements and will affect all United States citizens entering the United States from countries within the Western Hemisphere who do not currently possess valid passports.   This new requirement will also affect certain foreign nationals who currently are not required to present a passport to travel to the United States.  Most Canadian citizens, citizens of the British Overseas Territory of Bermuda, and to a lesser degree, Mexican citizens will be affected by the implementation of this requirement.

You can get your passport by going to your local couthouse when you decide.

They are good for nearly 10 years, so can't hurt to get one.
