Julmiste will be the starter for the season

Just thought I would fill you in on that.  Grothe is too young and Julmiste has a really good spring to quiet the naysayers for a bit.

As much as CJL doesn't want to admit it, PJ is the guy that will win the most games.

A win at Kansas this year will solidify the job for the remainder of the season.

We go 9-3 with losses to UNC, UL, WVU and finish tied ofr second in the Big East

WOW! Optimistic post, great job.

I agree that PJ will get most of the playing time this year. PJ looked most in control of the offense in the spring. I have given up on getting this, gulp, "offense" changed. No point in debating it, its our albatross and I'll wear it proudly. So PJ knows it better and can protect the ball and score 10 points so he is CJL's dream QB.

Even if MG wins the job in 2/days he will be on a tight leash, and he doesn't know the meaning of playing it close to the vest. Its a wide open offense scheme that is being steered from the top like it is a ball control offense, which spells doom for 90% of all QB's and short term doom MG. He will ride the pine until he gives up his playmaking urges on offense (3b below) and settles into the BULLS offense (2 below). I see us 7-4 or 8-3, bowling either way so its a good season.

I still say the #1 job for 2006 is to get a QB groomed to make big things happen in 2007.

I think flsportsfan83 has declared himself open to any insulting nicknames other board members wish to offer.  BTW, it's funny (to some) the first time.

Julmiste gives us the best chance to win this year.

Plus, say what you want about the kid, he's never once gotten into any problems off the field.  Given the current QB situation and situation with QBs, he's earned the right to start in '06.

you guys must have been following a different spring than me. There are only two problems with Grothe right now, and that's underpar arm strength and interception issues...let me remind you he's only a redshirt freshmen and PJ's great arm strength is pretty much worthless if he rifles a ball over the reciever's head or into the turf. I think PJ will start because Leavitt is loyal to him and he's consistant if nothing else, however, Grothe is not as far off as some of you may want to believe.

Hear, Hear!!  I would rather gamble with what little I have seen with Grothe than be sure of what we have gotten from Justmissed.  I say we give Matt a good long look.
