Can we call it a rivalry yet?

The last four games have been split 2-2, each going to the home team. Plus, some of their fans are starting to call it a rivalry.

November 18th, should be interesting.

We ran into a kards fan today and Coach asked if he was a St.Louis fan or one of those L'ville fans we spanked last season... Needless to say, he wasn't too amused by it.

(But I was ROLLIN') ;)

I thought we have only played them 3 times....

Advantage USF?

correct once back in 2003 at usf-usf wins, then 2004 at ul-ul wins, then 2005 at usf-usf wins 45-14

It will take more than just some of their fans calling it a rivalry to be a true rivalry ...... With a true rivalry there is no gray area.

It's not really going to become a rivalry until USF takes something away from UL that really matters to them.

Sure we beat them last year, but that loss didn't deter them from having a **** good season, while USF went backwards. I get the sense that most UL fans saw the game as a fluke while at the same time appreciating what the USF program can become in the future. IF we are beating a loaded clubs like UL now....in our 9th year of existence.....what will we be doing 10 years from now? What's good for the BE is good for UL.

IMO, USF will create two annual rivalries this year if it can win the last two games of the season.  UL and WVU are poised to have great seasons. If USF were to hijack their post season plans....it would put us forever into the consciousness of their fan base b/c and opportunity loss to go to a BCS game.  That is what really builds rivalries.
