Not that this is really any kind of news but I have never seen a USF football coach ranked this low. Right there with Saban and Kirby Smart.

We've had more energy and hope than this program has had since 2007.  He seems to really respect his job and it shows in every game/press conference.  There are very few coaches that I'd rather have than him, P5 or not.

Will we continue our legacy of being part of the "last straw" for opponent coaches with Lovie?

As long as he is winning games.

taggart, had he stayed, would likely be having an awesome winning team right now and loved by fans.

i understand Taggart leaving, he wants to challenge himself as a coach and move to bigger program with more competition (and money).

While Strong has already taken that path, failed at Texas, and found refuge at USF. Yet to be seen, assuming Strong sustains winning, if he decides to move on again or retire here.

The only heat on the Strong seat will be the offers other programs are going to make.

I’m not 100% sold that Taggart would still have the success he had with Flowers. He’s trying to run that same offense at a school with a ton of talent and he’s hitting a brick wall. He also never established much of a defense while he was here and that will only get you so far.

Also it worked for less than a year and a half, it’s a little harder to have success when teams have film on you or face you multiple times. The read option or bubble screen offense is novel if you have a good athlete at QB, fast Wide Recievers and an NFL running back, could it work year in and year out? The world may never know.

Charlie's salary is pretty low when compared to other coaches, but he still is getting money from Texas, so he is good for now.  I just hope USF steps up when the Texas money runs out and pays to keep him.

The Texas money ends after this year. We need $2.5 mil minimally to keep him and his assistants are required to receive a pay raise. Get your checkbook ready...
