Eh...I get why that's a factor for some kids, but for many, leaving town for college is part of the experience. I'm biased because I want them to come here, but if they want to get away from home for 4 years, that's cool. I left home to play baseball and it was awesome for me. If your goal is just to get some different life experiences and a decent degree, considerations change. I don't think that's what at the front of most recruits' minds though.
