Does anyone here know anything about the housing that's going up across 30th/Bruce B Downs from campus?

Also, have they started the work on Andros I?

It's still in the initial construction.. they are putting up the steel framework now.

It should be a 653 room student living, scheduled to be completed by Summer of 2016, and ready for students to move in that Fall.

Interesting, student housing with a parking garage.

“There are funny smells, unusual carpet stains, and crazy (sometimes sketchy) things happening"

Is there any college dorm that statement doesn't describe?  Puh-lease. Andros was not fancy, but if anyone thinks that isn't doable, they are disconnected from reality.

Also, FWIW the "Dorms You'll Never See on the College Tour" title the NYT put on that article isn't even accurate, given that we got an up-close look at the Andros dorms on our tour. Maybe they have changed that since they will be demolished soon, but nobody thought they were getting a palace.

Important point about the article is that it mentions that they will be torn down and replaced with a "student village"

So at least it shows something is being done, and its being done now/soon.
