He will redshirt during the 2015 season per NCAA transfer rules, and have three seasons of eligibility remaining afterwards.“It’ll be a good opportunity to work on my strength,†Hudson said about redshirting. “It’s something that’s my biggest weaknesses as a player, so I get to attack it with a redshirt year. You talk to anyone who wants to redshirt, you get another year under your belt, have time to put on some extra weight and become a great player. It’d be nice to lift more than two times a week during the season and build some muscle and be ready to go for the 2016 season.â€Welcome home, Austin!Read more at http://www.sportstalkflorida.com/austin-hudson-announces-transfer-to-usf-returning-home-to-tampa/#kOJ9HLUmA0GpOky5.

He is focused on the 2016 season, whereas many might look at it as a year to watch & wait.
