He's certainly got the size for it at 6-2 and 205.

Played all 14 games as a freshman in Wisky's respectable D, hopefully that means a solid addition!

Austin Hudson Announces Transfer to USF, Returning Home to Tampa

By Sandy Czarnecki

USF NEWS: Hudson Heading Home

After completing his freshman season at the University of Wisconsin, safety Austin Hudson announced Thursday he’ll transfer to the University of South Florida.

Hudson, a 6-foot-2, 205-pound native of Tampa, said his decision to transfer was in order to be closer to his family and friends.

The three-star recruit from Plant High School played 14 games for the Badgers last season, finishing with 19 tackles, one sack and one forced fumble. He will redshirt during the 2015 season per NCAA transfer rules, and have three seasons of eligibility remaining afterwards.

“It’ll be a good opportunity to work on my strength,†Hudson said about redshirting. “It’s something that’s my biggest weaknesses as a player, so I get to attack it with a redshirt year. You talk to anyone who wants to redshirt, you get another year under your belt, have time to put on some extra weight and become a great player. It’d be nice to lift more than two times a week during the season and build some muscle and be ready to go for the 2016 season.â€

Welcome home, Austin!

What a great headset for a RS.  He is focused on the 2016 season, whereas many might look at it as a year to watch & wait.
