How much do you think they will improve next year? What do you think this does to our position at the bottom?

He's been a hot name the last couple of years.  It looks like a good hire on paper

Mack Brown is going to have SMU humming in a few years. Bank on it.

It certainly does. He appears to have deep ties to Texas and he's at a school with history. I wonder how he will recruit? (not that it matters to us directly)

It feels like we may be the last shoe to drop. If we are going head to head with Oviedo high for a coach I like that may not go well. It seems like half our conference has either changed coaches or are on an up swing. I hope we don't miss the boat.

Chad Morris has his work cut out for him.  SMU is in some bad shape and add in the lack of fan support, yeah.......long road to rebuilding here.

One thing though, they are in a good recruiting location and with Morris' ties to the State, he "should" be able to bring in some kids.  I would suspect a 4-5 year building process there under Morris.

Of course, this is all dependent on his assistants and how much money SMU will be willing pay for those assistants.  Hopefully the SMU loyals will treat Morris better than some USF fans treat CWT in his rebuilding process and wont call for his head after year 2 with only one true full recruiting season.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
