Come the end of the season, it may not matter, but that's a quality win right there.

And you KNOW the players are telling each other that very fact as we speak.

We dodged a huge bullet tonight. By never giving up

I have to admit Coach O can flat out coach. He is known as a great recruiter but to be this new as a head coach and come up with some game winning decisions he has shown so far has impressed me.

High praise from Vega.

I'm not sure which surprised me more, the comeback or Vega's praise :D

It's the truth man. he doesn't micro manage the game like a Stan Heath which as we know can cause players to play scared or over think a situation. COA let's his players play but when it's time to step in and make a key adjustment or draw up a play on offense or defense he has shown to be able to do that.

Knowing that better days are ahead with the minds USF has on that bench really excites me about where this program will be in a very short time.

Excellent coaching after two huge timeouts. One gets an easy bucket the other gets the exact shot we wanted to Perry down low. Loved how the announcers showed the motion to set up the last play.

How many games will we win this year..who knows but the team never gives up even if some of us do. I have to admit 2-3 times I said that was it and that it was over.

Have to get better on the defensive glass and the loose balls but man what a difference.

Serious question here. Not joking at all.

Do you think the burial mound spirits are happy to have COA here?

I think for the duration of COA's coaching career here, uttering 'burial mound' should be a bannable offense.

I think they've been put to rest. USF basketball about to go off on the country.

These players are not afraid to take the big shots.

When was everyone down?

They battled hard at NC State.  Save a very few individuals, most thought it was a good performance vs a quality team predicted to go dancing.

I'm as happy as the rest of you, but let's not get ahead of ourselves. Hofstra's RPI is 130 at this point. If we get technical, at this point in the season we are a midseed NIT (RPI of 79) team. If the team gets better down the stretch...we'll be a high NIT seed or maybe a low NCAA seed.

REALLY looking forward to seeing how we handle Alabama. They will be a handful but they are more even competition than NC State (who was arguably much better).

They don't have to look over their shoulders to be pulled or benched the next game if they miss. They don't have to look over at the head coach for 30 seconds before looking to score either. This head coach is confident in his players and the players are confident in him. It makes a huge difference.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
