Haven't we already had this discussion?

And didn't it already go down this same path?

USF is one of only like 5 FBS programs out of 128 that play more than 5 miles from campus. I remember we had all the facts and universities listed as well in one of the 100 OCS threads we have. Why are you trying to lose an argument twice slick? Are you that bored?

It's double that number, triple it if you go 3 miles or more. Point is, many schools have OFF campus stadiums, over 10%.

Actually, 20% of FBS schools play at OFF campus stadiums including P5 programs like Oregon, UCLA, Washington, NC State, Baylor, etc..http://www.footballgeography.com/list-of-fbs-stadiums-sorted-by-distance-to-the-campus/

Washington is on campus. Baylor moved to campus this year.

NC State and South Carolina play "off campus" in facilities that are designated as athletic complexes for the university. They're also literally blocks away from campus.

Oregon's stadium is "off campus" because it's in a giant University of Oregon athletic complex that sits across the river from the campus. It's walking distance. In fact a lot of people tailgate/park on campus and walk over the river to the game.

Correct, Washington's stadium in on campus.  Also, Baylor and Oregon have on campus stadiums but its on the other side of a river, connected to campus through a pedestrian bridge
Cue slick's comment about how he's technically right and the stadium is off campus.

I didn't write the article I supplied and that still leaves 20 FBS OFF campus stadiums.

Baylor just built an OCS, after 60 years of having an OFF Campus stadium. That's probably the correct time line for USF to seriously start thinking of one. The donations that a Heisman winner brings probably helped funding too.

Baylor owned their previous stadium. And it was right down the street from campus.

Yes, 4 miles. Not ON campus, which is what all the brouhaha is supposed to be about.

Did the walking directions. 2.1 miles from the center of campus, but whatever
