I say we wait for the Rays to move into their new stadium, then take over the Trop, be a domed stadium, reconfigure for football, call us the USFSP Bulls, and bah bam.. St. Pete campus has sports, Tampa has sports, all we need is to relocate the volleyball team up to Lakeland, and everyone has sports, we have an OCS.. oh, crap, the Trop isn't on the St. Pete campus, nevermind.

Baylor's stadium would be a good model to use

Where's the $260 million coming from?   $5,000 per seat licenses, pre-construction.

There is news of an OCS being built? No?

Why is this thread still going?

Because people keep asking why this thread is still going ...

So ... why is it still going?

I was referring to USF$260K copy, not BU original.
If we can build it for $260k, I say go for it

If we had an OCS, do you think they'd use artificial turf on it? I see that a lot up north, but have even seen some stadiums that can grow perfectly good grass go to turf. I wonder if it's because that newer sport turf or whatever is consistent throughout a season versus a field that gets torn up from all the games (and possibly high school games or other events on the field?). I would hope we'd keep grass.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
