UCF hired a BCS coach...

it was a smart move.

Cincinnati didn't.

It was a smart move.

UCF upgraded in conferences....

Cincy was downgraded (with USF)

---------------------------------------

BTW, Tuberville coached at: Auburn and won:

Championships

1 SEC Championship (2004)

5 SEC Western Division Titles (2000-2002, 2004-2005) Awards

AFCA Coach of the Year (2004)

Paul "Bear" Bryant Award (2004)

Sporting News College Football COY (2004)

Walter Camp Coach of the Year (2004)

2x SEC Coach of the Year (1997, 2004)

Pretty equivalent to a BCS coach, I guess

Pretty sure he's not talking about Tubs ... he's talking about Brian Kelly, who came to Cincy from Central Michigan.  Worked out pretty well for them.

And Butch Jones who also came from CMU ...

Didn't they do three in a row from there?

Did Cincy win the BE with Butch?  The Butch years weren't bad but the Kelly years were a grand slam.

Tied twice, but no BCS bowl. 3 years, 23-14 (12-9) ... Good enough to get him the gig at Tennessee.

Lol. Considering he was Tennessee's 67th choice, that's one way to look at it. :D
