I opted for MIS and it served me well for twenty years. If I could go back, I probably would have gone some engineering (not environmental, or such) route; either mechanical or civil. It's a business degree and you learn technology as well. I can't find enough people to work in IT there are so many positions. They still have foreign people come work these jobs. Pay is around 50k right out of college. Most are in the 100's within a few years.

I could get a lucrative water engineering job wherever they are. Unfortunately they are few and far between. That's probably the case for Computer Science as well, but I have this vision of working from home for anyone. Those jobs seem to be everywhere. I work with water resources engineers and they seem to be doing quite well for themselves.

I'm interested in natural science (not chemistry), and computers (hate calculus).
