Why Publix?!? Why?!?

I just ate a Cuban sub from publix. On sale for $3.50. My words cannot fully express how delicious it was.

That's a fantastic deal for a solid sub.

is that for a whole or half?

It's for the ones in the deli that were already made.

People ordering pressed and grilled subs are inconsiderate jackasses IMO. Nobody has time for that. Get in, get your sub and get out.

They did add a fried chicken sandwich, granted it could be much improved by putting it on a good roll/ciabatta/cuban bread, and using any other cheese other than yellow american. But hey that's the chef in me.

yes they use a cheap hamburger bun bacon, american cheese, pickles, fried chicken breast, and maybe one other condiment I am forgetting right now. Couldn't find any info online in a quick search. I may have to go on a photo mission tomorrow. They are put up in the hotlamp section at my publix. Usually in brown paper bags and I think are about $2.50 or $2.99. I know they were talking about them on Fan Interference a week or two ago.

At 11:42 am, EST I was informed by my local Publix that they had removed their sandwich press and if it hasn't already happened at yours, it will soon. Sad day, everyone.

 

If I'm not mistaken, I believe the Publix at Van Dyke and Dale Mabry still has theirs up and running.

Publix has brought bad luck to the USF football program. I started tailgating with subway sandwiches the past few seasons and the on field results were terrible. May have to stop getting those Publix subs to see if that changes the USF luck.

Wouldn't that mean Subway has brought bad luck to the usf program? Subway is just bad food period.

Publix is lucky they make Mediterranean orzo salad. Sweet baby Jesus, its good.
