Formula goes: Pack into sterile Sundome adorned with a few potted plants and some decorative drapes > Judy regurgitates some uninspired self-promotional diarrhea listing off school vitals and accolades (bout as engaging as listening to an audiobook of USF's wikipedia page) > hack of a keynote speaker (mine was a guy who owns some trampoline play park?) > Students file up through degree mill like cattle  > Widespread awkwardness as Dome forced to recite Alma Madre only .05% of attendees actually know (exists or memorized)

$400mil endowment'd

 

The single, redeeming onstage moment from my grad was speech by student body Pres MD. Interesting, impassioned, relatable. Honorable mention to the quality people watching, with all the southern fried relatives crawling out of their respective woodworks to come be a part of the big day.

I noticed that the sign said "while approaching"

 

It says nothing about "departing" so you can still do a backflip off the stage if you want, but only AFTER you've shaken hands
