Any of the old Big East would be cool (WVU, Pitt, Cuse, Louisville, Rutgers). Any of the Big 3 would be obviously great. If Harlan could get a game against UCLA would be nice.

Just hope we can get Power 5 team home and homes.

I am guessing the buyout was $50k. It will be small because it was before the home and home started. The big buyouts occur after one team plays a road game and then loses out on the promised home game.

I'll take a winnable Big 10 game like Indiana, and it is reasonable to travel to.

Bad things happen when we travel West (Nevada the only exception .... San Diego, El Paso, Utah all come to mind), it is hard for our fans to go to the game.

I'll take any power conference team east of the mississippi, if we can't get UF, UM, UGa, or someone close.

BS move on IU's part as well as in my view BS on the part of B1G. Obviously strength of schedule is not IU's concern. USF beats IU home and away, FIU does not . Both teams give IU, Florida exposure.......so it is easy to see IU is just a pansy.

USF will fill the spot, but it is becoming tougher and tougher, especially when you have programs like IU that run from any competition. Shameful.

Joey Knight says it's going to cost Indiana $500K. It doesn't seem right, though. I'm tending to believe Stuben's take

Could be higher due to the timing...pretty short notice.  Knight cited a USF source, I believe.

Per @USFFootball spokesman Brian Siegrist, Indiana's buyout of its contract with USF will cost $500,000

At this point I'd think someone gave Knight the buyout figure had Indiana just cancelled the road game.

Well, maybe Indiana just has more money than brains.

It can't be them fearing the SOS given the last three years at USF.

I really hope Joey is right, that will be a great deal for USF. I'd rather have the $500k to not play the games, then schedule someone else.

Sadly, I do think his number is too high, I would be shocked if we got that much, that might be the number if canceled after we played the road game, without ever getting the return.
