Always wondered how much things would have worked out if we went with the Buccaneers, and the NFL team (since it came later) still decided to also adopt the buccaneers (or at least pirates)

 

This whole OCS/RJ stadium situation may have been vastly different.  Not to say an OCS shouldn't/wouldn't still be done, but the years we have shared RJ stadium would have been a lot better/smoother.  Plus other things like fitting in USF with Gasparilla events, etc.

I chuckled when reading about the part of the article stating there was controversy, and the whole thing was lackadaisical. I see we adopted that whole theme early on in our existence.

I have to admit... From the university's name to its mascot... It all seems somewhat random. Not very well thought out.
