QB Battle

So, as is clear at this point, we're likely going to have some level of QB competition this fall, but it's likely that the starter is going to be settled and I think it will be White or Bench. There's no way it'll be Flowers, it's far too early for him to be taking snaps in this offense unless he really surprises. 

 

So who's it going to be? 

 

Bench dealt with injuries last year and looked average at best. 

 

White looked like a revelation in the first game but then looked awful in his next few games and his arm strength was disappointing-he will need to work on it a ton.

They are both fierce competitors. You have to think Flowers is probably studying the playbook already. Just based on physicality alone he may see playing time. Taggarts not scared to mix things up if these guys don't put points on the board.

What were the overall impressions throughout spring ball on these two?  Seemed like White had the edge during practices, but Bench had a big spring game.

LOL if you think we saw enough of Bench last year to draw that conclusion, especially with a disaster of an offense around him.

I thought Bench looked like the #1 QB, but White was a pinky toe behind him. If Flowers is as good as advertised, we could have a 3 headed snake heading into fall. I can see wrinkles where all 3 could be on the field

Agree with you here, and I think that kinda scares me a bit. My OWN opinion is that IF Flowers is close enough that there is any question at all about the starter, LET HIM PLAY!

I do NOT want to go into the season without someone stepping and being NUMBER ONE.
