Even a successful bball program like Marquette went with the assistant route. I was very surprised.

So, who do you feel did better with the hire, USF or Marquette? (I know nothing about the Duke assistant.)

BTW, does anybody know the Marquette contract numbers?

Wojo is a very good coach. I would have liked him here, that being said I think it is pretty close to equal.

Wojo has been on Coach K's staff since 1999. This is well overdue. If he is successful at Marquette he will be the next coach at Duke.

I would have liked the Duke assistant okay, but I think I like Antigua better for USF. I just think he'll relate to the players better and find ways to motivate them out of the previous funk. Marquette is in good shape, so Wojo-whatever may be a better match for them.

Personally I like UK style of play more than Duke so I'm going to say USF

I like it only because I think Wojo has the resume and name recognition to use this as a quick stepping stone.

I think Antigua (who let's be real very few people knew anything about before this hire) has to come in here, fix the program and win in order to move up.

My hunch is that Wojo is the better coach, but  Antigua is the better recruiter.

In the end, it's probably a wash between the two.  Wojo was clearly the heir apparent once Coach K left Duke.  So, honestly I'm a little surprised he left for Marquette.
