He's got the right demographics: youth, Hispanic, difficult past, immigrant, poor, used basketball as a ticket out, Globetrotters, multiple Final 4's

 

This will get him INSIDE the door with recruits, donors, alums, fans, reporters

 

 

Once he's in, what will he do?

 

No way to be sure until he actually does it, but the man has won at every level so far, no reason to disbelieve he can do it now.

Certainly hope so. He still has family in the D.R. so hopefully somebody knows somebody who knows...

Of course we are. We don't deserve anything to be handed to us; but we are surrounded by potential. If we expect to be mediocre, that is what we will be. But if we take advantage of our resources (recruiting grounds, facility upgrades, large student population, marginal NCAA experience, and a somewhat strong conference) - we can definitely grow.
