So what you are suggesting is that USF refute every rumor that pops up on Twitter?

Gotcha....

Honestly, who cares what the media thinks?

BINGO!!! Most of the media loves to report a negative story anyway. As a USF fan, I just laugh at the media types that bash us when they get the chance. It is comical. And the sad thing is that they never have to come back and apology for their own mistakes. USF is free to do their coaching search anyway that they want to. Not sure why we have people crying about how USF conducts their own busines affairs. It is like they are entitled to anything that USF does and if they dont get an answer they whine.

Same as the big money tabloid business and the legions of morons that follow them. Doesn't have to have any truth to it, just need fools to buy into it.

There it is ... Thinking I need to maybe start a Rumors, Tweets thread like the conference alignment one if people keep starting bs threads like this very time a gossip monger posts an article.

Rice wasn't a rumor. Masiello wasn't a rumor. I fail to see how rumor-mongering steps in here

Yeah, I'm not sure about that either...these were legit leads and news, no rumors.

Chris Farley is the average "source" for the media.

Adam Sandler is USF.

How can it be legit news if there's conflicting stories on details? There was enough smoke to know that there was some fire but the exact extent of that fire is definitely not known .... and is no different than the Tuxedo Yoda stuff in conference realignment. What's disheartening is you guys considering almost every Tweet and rumor "legit news" ...

I don't have twitter, nor do I plan on it.

The UNLV AD confirmed the offer. It was more of whether he was going to take it or not. Manhattan confirmed Masseillo taking the job.

Its one thing to report some crazy ass rumor. its other to report something that is valid. You're being ridiculous to even compare that to tuxedo Yoda.

No, you've just been sucked into this gossip riddled generation that has no clue the meaning of what real news is ... Real news is when Harlan is standing at a podium introducing our new coach.

Sorry. When a coach accepts a job, signs an offer sheet and then gets it rescinded because of a false resume, it's news.

When another AD comes out and says we've offered their head coach a job it's news.

I agree with you on all the BS, but pretending like Masiello and Rice news is gossip is idiotic.

First, we don't know whether SM signed anything. Second, we will have to agree to disagree on what should be considered news. Identifying people who won't be coaching the Bulls basketball team is not news, IMO ...
