So now that it looks like Rice is a no-go, I figured I would make a realistic list of choices for the basketball team.  Feel free to add on if you come up with any other good ideas.

Greg Popovich - 905-423 record with the San Antonio Spurs.   4 NBA Titles.   Tends to be a hard nose type coach, so I am not sure it would work out here.   I heard rumors from TBO.com that Tim Duncan still has a few years of eligibility though so that would be a plus if he could somehow bring him over,

Brian Scalabrine - The White Mamba.  Gods gift to Basketball. The man with more rings then Barkley, Malone, and Ewing combined.  The savior of USF Basketball.   Now THAT has a nice ring to it.

Dennis Rodman -  A yearly trip to the DPRK for the "North Korean Invitational" would be pretty nice.   Beats the hell out of UCF road games, that's for sure.

Steve Mansiello -  How many credits did you earn again?  110?   That is great news because  as of March 28th, 2014 that is exactly how many credits it takes to graduate from the University of South Florida.  Congrats Coach Mansiello.

CM Punk -  Might as well go get the Best In the World at something, if we can't have it for basketball.

Michael White - F**k that noise.  This campus is only big enough for one Mike White.

Tried to lighten the mood a little bit.  The Mansiello situation was unfortunate, but it was also about as random as things can get, so it was more of a "that sucks, but what are you gonna do." situation.  Rice using USF as leverage so he can get more money from UNLV pisses me off though.

All about the money, this should explain it all...

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
