Didn't want to push more than that since he was so small. It was still great having him out there rocking his USF onesies. Now he is currently 11months old so we are thinking this year we can bring him inside for a couple games. I saw in some previous posts (through digging with the search function) that they allow baby food, milk bottles, diapers, etc. as long as it's in the clear bags. A friend also wore her "Baby Bjorn" carrier (think sacajawea) into the stadium with no problems so I know we are good with that as well. My question now is attire. We don't want the little one getting sunburned at all so what are people having their kids wear? I also don't want him sweating like crazy either... Rash guards? Sweat wicking clothing? Hats? Sunscreen? Everything? Any tips would be great. Thanks in advance guys.

Add sun glasses to your list. Green Jacket? she could take a break in the club. Big hat for shade.

I heard sunglasses for kids are actually worse than nothing at all unless they expensive polarized ones. Apparently cheap sunglasses cause the pupils to open with reducing the damaging rays and cause bad damage in young eyes. Not sure if true, but soemthing to think about

We kept our grandson under it when he was that small. Last year, at 2, they slathered on the sunscreen and he ran amok.

This came up for us when we took our kids to Disney for the first time. I would suggest using a Neutrogena or pediatrician recommended sunblock for your son. Rash guard is probably a good move along with socks and a large hat to cover his head and face. A Rocky costume might be too hot

We tried it once and had to leave early. Wife and I decided better to leave with the grandparents. No amount of sunblock can help with the heat. Unless its literally the perfect weather to take a 1 year-old out for 3 to 4 hours outside w/o some kind of shade, then i'd say go for it.
Hem Posted March 28, 2014 Group: Member Topic Count: 64 Content Count: 4,661 Reputation: 396 Days Won: 21 Joined: 09/24/2012 Author Share Posted March 28, 2014 I'm mostly concerned with tomorrow right now. It sounds like the first month will be OK with night games then we will see what we can do for the day games. I'm not looking to make him/us miserable or unsafe by having our lil guy out in the sun for that long so if he gets cranky we will just leave. By the time of the first game he will almost be 1 1/2 but we are going to take it slow and see how it goes. The problem with going to the grandparents...is that they're season ticket holders! lol And yes we have the pop-up for tailgating, couldn't live without that thing! He always hung out under it on a blanket we laid out last year, but this year he's MOBILE lol. Not walking yet, but he's super close now and will be by the time season starts for sure. Sounds like the best bet for the day games is the rash guard (for UV protection), shorts, a nice big hat, some pedatric approved sunblock that we've got, and some socks. Thank you for the responses guys, I'll keep checking back to see if anyone has any tips for me
