New group of BB coach candidates

Steve Massiello is dead to me.

 

In no order

 

1. Mike White

2. Tony Barbee

3. Shaka Smart (probably a lateral move for him) so maybe not here. Marquette or Wake Forest

4. Archie Miller Probably up for big job now

5. Steve Prohm

6. Fill in the blamk

 

Danny Manning would probably  be a lateral moved to USF so I dont see it

As I doubt USF would get Shaka Smart, the list of potential candidates above is weak and uninspiring at best.

 

We should have kept Stan Heath for one more season!

If it wasn't going to be a "splash" hire, then they should have given Stan Heath one more year - especially since he was still under contract. If they were concerned about dwindling fan interest and attendance, they're not going to make any impact there next season by hiring a career assistant (Antigua), a head coach from a mid/low-major (White, Tyndall, etc.) or a retread (Pelphrey).

I'm kinda sorta on the White bandwagon, mainly because he's good enough for Vega, and I kinda sorta trust Vega's opinion. But my mind's still open.
