First and foremost congratulations to our Cricket Bulls!  Like others, I had no clue we had a cricket team!

First and foremost congratulations to our Cricket Bulls!  Like others, I had no clue we had a cricket team!

 

There's a bunch of competitive club sports offered by USF that most students (and alumni) don't know exist.

Cricket, Hockey, Cycling, Lacrosse... heck, we even have Equestrian teams.

 

I've attended matches for a few sports, and they can be pretty entertaining.  It's a shame they aren't really promoted to students.

It would be great to have better attendance and with it better playing environments.

 

Some of the teams, such as lacrosse, are trying to move up from Club to fully supported.

I grew up in Jamaica......played cricket years before HS baseball. Fun game, those dang leather covered cork inner cricket balls are as hard as rocks. There is a reason the have a helmet and huge face mask while batting.

 

If you swing and hit the ball poorly, the bat vibrates your wrist like  a mutha. I was never able to develop a good swing, but I could hit singles all day long.
