Saw this coming. We had been courting Buzz and had 1st shot at him. Then our freaking Athletic Department fumbled the contract negotiations. We need to gut that whole department. I hope Harlan gets that. Dougie thought his job was construction mgmt and he ignored athletics until it self destructed.

Yep for a 7 year deal by reports. Look if you are not going to spend the money and be aggressive then you will continue to come up short. Auburn and Va Tech zoned in on a guy and aggressively pursued and got their man. Meanwhile USF just continues to wait around until Harlan starts Monday.

 

 

 

That's a real dumb comment. You have no idea what USF is or is not doing behind the scenes. For all we know, USF offered Buzz a no-cut $5m/ year contract and he turned it down.

 

You can't force candidates to take a job offer...

USF is officially scrambling!!  Watch, we'll get someone no better than Stan Heath and pay too much for his services.  Hell, that's really the USF way, isn't it?
