Search firm might help generate the "moneyball" candidates based on stats, value, coaching pedigree, etc. But there's no way they don't have Ben & Buzz as automatic candidates. Chances are, those guys won't be very interested in USF, though (as compared to a WF), so got to have the firm to help find the next big thing.

I think the window closed on a flashy hire, so we're moving into bargain up and comer territory. Dollars are no longer an issue.

I guess. But I'm of the opinion that if we were going hard after those guys we wouldn't need a search firm and there'd be no need to wait this long. One is unemployed and the other is on his couch.

Hold on. I haven't been paying attention. MU didn't make one of the top two post season tourneys? ...... We're down to Howland, then .... maybe he's making Harlan beg a little after canning him at UCLA.
