Same thing happened to SMU yesterday. USF is playing lights out lately and could had easily made a sweet 16 run with right pairing. (Should do well in NIT if not Win it all). (As if that's a consolation prize, NOT!!). If we were still the BE Conference there is no way USF doesn't make the tourney with our record and the way the season played out. Our only losses came to 2 TEAMS since DEC (#1 UConn and #5 Ville). That's it, no other losses. Ville ranked #5 in the polls snags a 3 seed( #5 should snag a 2 seed, there are 4 #1's 4 #2's ect...) Ville Men also got a 4 Seed last night( would mean a ranking 12-16) they were a top 10 team in the rankings. Hope our Leaders (Doug and Harlan are vocal moving forward and more involved) Not having teams in the tourney cost us money( we make money for all post season play and the more each team advances) we share revenue within the conference so the WHOLE conference is losing money by having less teams in the post season. ESPN and the Power 5 trying to kill off the Non Power conferences. Edited March 18, 2014 by Dhambuc

He is one of the few coaches at USF that actually win games. (He and Erikson).

He simply stated that USF needs to worry about getting theiselves better in all areas. He didnt go out there an lobby out public that USF was looking to get out of the AAC, but he did make a point that USF would jump for the more lucratic deal. And to be honest, anyone would jump from the AAC if they did get that chance. I like Harlan's focus on making USF strong as can be and being ready if and when the next conference shake ups happen. Face it, the AAC will never get respect from the P5.
