I was just reading the Marquette forums and they basically consider the rumors of Buzz coming here a joke. Typical stuck up MU fans believe their school to be vastly superior to our "little" school. I hope we get Buzz just to put them in their place.

Also, Marquette is an excellent school. Why is it such a shock that they'd think their school is better than someone else's?

I spent the first 26 years of my life in Milwaukee and spent many nights on their campus. I was going to MU basketball games long before I ever attended USF.  I've been to Marquette bars, I've been to Marquette parties. I know more MU alumni than USF. My extended family has more MU graduates than any other school. So yes, I know enough MU fans to have developed a stereotype.

 

It's not thinking that their school is better, it's the idea that our school is garbage.

Well, now I'm a little annoyed they said we were garbage. That seems a bit harsh.

They did call us a small school. That made me chuckle.

I think garbage is a little harsh but can fully understand why they look down upon us when it comes to college hoops:
