I 2nd that Jim Leavitt was the best and he continues to prove why even away from USF athletics.

Stan Heath can be a very good coach but I think it's necessary to clean house with us being downgraded to the AAC.  We have a motivation deficiency in our ranks and this is the next logical step.

Stan Heath has always been a very nice man, but he simply is not  a head coach. He makes a great assistant coach and somebody will pick him up for that role I'm sure of it. Two stops and two firings, Heath is likely done as a head coach. I know he still believes he can still do it, but it will be a hard sell to any administration and fan base for any AD to bring Heath in.

Jose >>> Stan

I love Stan, and he's a great man, even talked to him for a bit.

He's a good coach, not a great coach.

Best of luck to him wherever he ends up. I'm sure he'll land a job very soon.

Thanks for the memories, the tournament wins, and, more personally, for the pizza.

You will be part of USF athletics' history for a long time.

Stay classy, Coach.

What are the odds Josh stays here and graduates?

I'd put it close to zero...

Edit: so maybe 100:1

Joey Johnston â€@JJohnstonTBO 2h

Former #USF coach Stan Heath said his son, freshman point guard Josh, taking news hard. "I need to be there for my son. I need to be dad.''

Charsibb.. I hit the quote button but the page was still loading. So it popped down and registered as a neg vote.  Sorry!

I'll up you in another post to compensate (even though votes don't really matter much here :P )

Cannot argue with Stan's character

I thank him for his time here.  I wish it would have been more successful, but it is what it is.

Wish him luck in his future path (except if he coaches against USF)

Also agree 100% with Leavitt being the most successful revenue sport coach in USF history.

He never won squat.....No conference titles, no major bowl game wins,...#2 in a poll early in the season means diddly...zip, zilch, nada.

Re-read.. he was the MOST SUCCESSFUL REVENUE COACH USF has had.

Do you have another candidate???
