We are just discussing what's out there on who may be the next USF AD.

Anything constructive to add?

All I know is the same 3 articles everyone else has read. But I hope the people hiring him aren't making their decision based on what his boss did. Edited by JTrue

2 reasons this concerns me.

  • He has no background or history with East coast fund raising. There ain't many movie stars to hit up in Tampa.

  • He has no background or history that I can divine with the perils and pitfalls of conference expansion. This is prolly our greatest area of need right now(along with winning of course).

We shall see if he has the chops to bring in coaching talent. On whole, I am pretty disappointed. Judy appears to be clueless about what our priorities are and she doesn't seem to be listening to much of the sage advice which is available. She's a cheerleader when it comes to jumping in on the successes but is nowhere to be found when the going gets tough..

That's probably why they interview him.

Anyone can write blogs for SB Nation.  I could create one tomorrow if I wanted to.  SB Nation is a fan blog platform, not a collection of professional reporters.

Their SBNation guys are way worse than ours.  They don't veil any of their feelings and are pretty rude...

They said "lying scumbag Mark Harlan".  And described Harlan as "a two-faced snake willing to lie and mislead impressionable students when it suits him and his boss".   Harsh.

All over a student seating contrversy.  May not have to worry about that here.  ;)

I must say that our VooDoo Five guy has turned out to be pretty good, way above average content for SB Nation.

I think she knows what her priorities are as Commander in Chief of USF.  And you assume she isn't listening to advice because they are hiring a person you don't like?
