Hopefully he knows how to build a good team.

I could create one tomorrow if I wanted to. SB Nation is a fan blog platform, not a collection of professional reporters.

Which is what I suspect in the Bruins Nation rants.

Fundraising never ends in college sports and it is vital to our success on the field. Hope he can hire coaches (especially basketball now) and I suspect other USF stakeholders will assist in that process.

They don't veil any of their feelings and are pretty rude... They said "lying scumbag Mark Harlan". And described Harlan as "a two-faced snake willing to lie and mislead impressionable students when it suits him and his boss". Harsh. All over a student seating contrversy. May not have to worry about that here.

Associate Athletic Director Mark Harlan went from $88,195 in 2010-11 to $186,618 in 2011-12. Associate Athletic Director John Jentz went from $83,115 in 2010-11 to $150,452 in 2011-12. Both made a little more than $200,000 in 2012-13. Link Harlan is now at a minimum of $210,794.28 according to state records. He's experienced a rapidly growing salary as it is. Now it may double to ~$500,000 if he is the guy. Sort of funny this, from an ESPN article: UCLA and Alford agreed that if the coach leaves the school or is fired before April 30, 2016, whichever party initiates the termination will owe the other a cool $10.4 million. Why? "We wanted the commitment to be strong on both sides," UCLA senior associate athletic director Mark Harlan told the Los Angeles Times. "We didn't want him going anywhere." Of course ESPN was critical of that deal. Good story to read..Link

Or are we just declaring Harlan responsible for the Alford contract before he even gets here so we have something to ***** about? 1
