So how was it? I was going to come but got tied down by work-darn tax season. How's the offense looking? are the weight gains paying off in 1-on-1s and what not?

Todd Chandler and Elkino Watson were destroying all the lineman in the 1-on-1s

Well, that's certainly not a good sign. Looks like we still have lots of work to do.

They weren't getting worked over like Lynch and mims were doing last year this time. The qbs are much more capable than eveld and floyd at executing this offense as well. Need to see more but that's my general impression. 1 on 1s mean very little if the o line can gel together and the qb keeps getting the ball out on time which looks promising.

From USF:

Fans, Recruits Flock to Practice on Saturday

USF had an impressive cheering section for Saturday’s practice in full pads as fans and recruits filled the area surrounding the fields at the Frank Morsani Football Practice Complex.

“I thought it was good to see people come out and get excited about their team. We appreciate them sticking there and I think it’s good for our football team,” Taggart said. “If you just think about it we really haven’t performed in front of people, so we get them out here and maybe we learn to perform and make plays in front of people.”

Taggart opened six practices to the public this spring and four more dates remain before the Bulls suit up for the spring game March 29 at Raymond James Stadium - Friday, March 7 (8:30 a.m.), Saturday, March 9 (3 p.m.), Friday, March 21 (8:30 a.m.) and Saturday, March 22 (3 p.m.).

“We’re finding every which way we can to get this thing right, but also give fans a chance to come here and see their football team and try to find something to get excited about with our football team,” Taggart said. “I said it the other day, that’s how we’re going to get it going and get back to where we all want it. We all have to get behind it and we have to do our part.”

Saturday’s practice also fell on Junior Day, an annual event for recruits that produced a much greater number than Taggart’s first season with USF.

“Last year we had 107 and this year 250, so it was a great day for us and we’re getting better,” Taggart said. “That’s awesome to see, considering where we’re at to get that is big-time.”

250 at junior day is huge. Give taggart mad props for doubling his numbers.
