Porter was not recruited to be a QB, by USF or UF. UF offered less than a week ago and the kid jumped ship.

This has 0 effect on our QB situation. The kid is delusional if he thinks he'll start at UF faster than he would at USF, but good luck to him. It's not a USF story, it's a UF story now.

Agreed. I remember Myer doing the same thing for another recruit a while back.

Secondly, why try to make like Flowers isn't coming here? If you know anything about recruitment you'd know that he just said he's 100% committed to the bulls after his OV. Also said he's probably going to cancel his UF visit.

 

Our class is one of the best we've had recently and 40th in the nation, and it's coming off a 2-10 season.

 

Porter was being recruited as either a DB or a WR, not a QB.

 

and we know it says ATHLETE. Read ANY interview about what he'd be playing for us and they all say CB or WR

Then why are your first two lines about USF needing QB's.  Whether Porter is here or not, our QB situation is the same.

Don't we already have 4 QB's? Who are we currently targeting?

  we need at least 2 more qbs

 

the 4 we have need competiton and didnt impress me last year

Flowers is projected to be an athlete more than Porter is that's why UF's new OC started ignoring Flowers once they got Porter to flip from USF. Both of them are more likely to never be impact QBs in a non-spread offense so right now it looks like you don't have a true traditional QB in this class.

I think most rational people would trust a D-1 coach's assessment of his abilities than a random, run-of-the-mill UCF fan.
