Don't think so either, but that won't stop the state attorney from grandstanding and getting his face out on national TV.

Meggs has always been a "grandstander". The FSU fans I know detest that man.

no way they announce a press conference to announce they are charging him. They would have secured a warrant and picked him up.

Gotta say that her story does not sound convincing based on an ESPN article regarding the search warrants executed in this case:

http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/10082939/warrants-detail-accusations-jameis-winston-case

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Search warrants in the sexual assault investigation of Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston indicate the woman told police she was raped at an apartment after a night of drinking at a bar.

The search warrants were released Thursday, hours before a prosecutor was to announce whether the Heisman Trophy contender will be charged with a crime.

In the warrant, the accuser says she and friends had shots at Potbellys and her "memory is very broken from that point forward."

Sources tell ESPN's Shelley Smith, however, that toxicology reports show the accuser had minuscule amounts of alcohol in her system and that there was no evidence of so-called date **** drugs.

According to the warrants, the accuser says she remembers being in a cab with a man and going into an apartment before she was raped.

After that, she remembers the suspect dressing her, putting her on a scooter and dropping her off at an intersection, but she had no idea where the alleged **** occurred.

Now that it's been announced that he will not be charged. Having read what I've read, I think that the right decision was made, but at the same time I feel bad for the young lady involved. At the very least she regrets that the encounter happened and that can't feel good.

Important piece of info I saw in the writeup of the press conference is that apparently when they did the **** kit on the accuser, they found DNA from her boyfriend as well as Winston's.  That complicated the investigation.

Would this be handled differently if the accuser was black and Winston was white, would there be a frenzy (think Duke lacrosse)?
